Registration Information

  • All participants wishing to participate in SOM 2022 must complete online registration.

  • Online registration is only possible through the SOM 2022 website. Registration via email and fax is not permitted.

  • There is no online group registration function, and a separate group registration form is not provided.

  • All participants must register individually and complete the registration process.

  • Registration receipts can be issued and printed on 'Overview' tab after logging in.

*Student Registration

  • Students who are doing their Bachelor, Master and PhD at the time of his/her online registration are qualified as a Student Registration Category.

  • It is necessary to upload a copy of Student ID or proof documents or letters by your professors to register you as “Student” category.

  • Necessary documents can be submitted during the online registration process.

**Daily Registration

  • Admission to scientific sessions, coffee breaks and lunch on the purchased day only.

  • Providing a congress kit include final program book, name badge, souvenir and so on.

***VOD Pass

  • Presenting authors who cannot attend the symposium in-person need to purchase the VOD Pass by June 20 in order to secure his/her presentation in the program. Daily registration is not allowed.

Payment Method

The registration fee must be paid in one of the following ways and you can choose one of the options during the online registration process.

Option 1: Credit Card

  • The following credit cards will be accepted: VISA, MasterCard, JCB, AMEX, and Union Pay.

  • All credit card fees are borne by the registrant.

  • Actual payment amount may fluctuate depending on exchange rates.

  • The merchant name on the credit card statement is 'Eximbay'.

Option 2: Wire Transfer

  • All bank transfer fees are the responsibility of the registrant.

  • For bank transfer, the name of the sender and the registrant must be the same.

  • If the name of the registrant and the sender are different, please write the name and registration number of the registrant on the copy of the remittance certificate and send it to the secretariat.

  • If you pay the registration fee by bank transfer, the transfer must be completed within two weeks of completing your online registration.

  • If it is difficult to transfer money within 2 weeks of registering online, please contact the secretariat in advance.

  • Requests for deregistration to be valid must be submitted via email (inquiry@som2022.org) to the SOM 2022 Secretariat.

  • All refunds will be made after the conference for administrative reasons.

  • All bank and administration fees will be deducted from the refund amount before transfer.

Invitation Letter for Visa Application

All visitors to enter the Republic of Korea must have a valid passport and visa.

Visitors holding round-trip tickets from countries that have special agreements with Korea may be exempt from the visa requirements and may stay in Korea without a visa up to 30 or 90 days, depending on the type of agreement between the two countries.

Contact the Korean embassy or a consulate in your country as early as possible.

Invitation Letter for VISA Application to Visit Korea (apply if necessary)

  1. The invitation letter for obtaining a Korean visa will be issued by the Korean Society of Soil Science and Fertilizer (KSSSF).

  2. The official invitation letter will be ONLY available to those who have completed on-line registration with appropriate payment.

  3. The official invitation letter is not a commitment on the part of the organizer and/or host organization to provide any financial support.

  4. Application for issuance of invitation letter must be made to the SOM 2022 Secretariat by email (inquiry@som2022.org) with a copy of passport.

  5. A copy of the letter will be sent to you for review and the original letter with a copy of business certificate of the hosting organization (Korean Society of Soil Science and Fertilizer, KSSF) will be sent via EMS within three weeks after your confirmation.

 

Invitation Letter to Travel Authorization from Your Institute (apply if necessary)

  1. The invitation letter will be issued by the Korean Society of Soil Science and Fertilizer (KSSSF).

  2. The official invitation letter will be ONLY available to those who have completed on-line registration with appropriate payment.

  3. This invitation letter is not a commitment on the part of the organizer and/or host organization to provide any financial support.

  4. Application for issuance of letter must be made to the SOM 2022 Secretariat by email (inquiry@som2022.org).

 

Notarized Invitation Letter

  1. If you need to receive a notarized invitation letter to apply for a visa, you must request it by email at inquiry@som2022.org.

  2. Upon request, the notarized letter will be sent by airmail (EMS) within a month after your request.

  3. The notarized invitation letter will be ONLY available to those who have completed on-line registration with appropriate payment.

  4. USD 100 will be charged for notary and air courier (EMS) and must be paid by wire transfer.

  5. If you are not sure whether a notarized invitation letter is required for visa issuance, please check with the Korean Embassy in your country.
